Indian Navy Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
1st Step Selection of applicants is based on the merits of each state of their performance on computer-based Exams subject to passing the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness for Medical Examinations.
2nd Step: Indian Navy SSR Exam was Objective type and comprised 100 questions with 100 marks. The paper consisted of four parts: English, Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. There was a Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks in the Exam.
3rd step: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Qualification in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is required to be selected. PFT is a 1.6 km run to be completed in seven minutes, including 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Participants who participate in PFT undertake it on their responsibility.
4th steps: Following Indian Navy SSR Online Exam Results, Merit lists for SSR and AA are prepared upon the written test results and Physical Fitness Tests. Candidates who pass the PFT must pass a preliminary recruitment medical exam. Candidates who are declared to be Temporary Medically Unfit during the preliminary recruitment medicals are eligible for a review by a specialist from the designated Military Hospital within a maximum of 21 days.
5th step: The applicants’ documents and application forms will not be checked before the online exam. Original documents will be checked during the PFT and also before final enrollment at INS Chilka.
