About GATE Exam 2024

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination conducted by the GATE committee in eight zones across the country. GAT includes faculty members from IISc, Bangalore, and seven other IITs, on behalf of the National Liaison Board, Department. Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development GATE scores/ranks are used for admissions to IITs and IIScetc with MHRD funding in institutions such as postgraduate programs (ME, M.Tech, MS, and direct Ph.D.). PSUs also use GATE scores to recruit candidates for various prestigious jobs with attractive pay. Gate 2024 will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur and the examination will be held in February 2024.

GATE Exam Pattern 2024

The Gate paper is conducted every year by one of the IITs. There is no major change introduced in the exam pattern. We will provide complete information about paper pattern which has been issued by IIT Kharagpur. Here we will tell that what type of questions will be given to you in the exam through which you can prepare for the exam. Your exam pattern is as follows:-

GATE exam will be conducted online on computer-based. You will be given 3 hours for the exam of MCQ/MSQ and NAT type. There will be a total of 29 papers in this exam. The two sections are included in this paper General Aptitude [GA] and the second section is the candidate’s selected subject. The exam will be 100 marks, in which 15 marks will be given for GA and 85 marks will be given for Subject. All questions will be of 1 or 2 marks for which 1/3 negative marking for 1 mark question.

GATE Syllabus 2024 Subject wise

Gate Slabs 2024 is now available on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in for all 29 pamphlets. No new changes have been made to the GATE Syllabus 2024. However, two new curricula have been added to the newly introduced subjects – Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM) and Geometry Engineering (GE).
