Combined Defense Services CDS exam 2024 is a gateway through which young men and women can join any of the three wings of the Indian Defense Services- Indian Army, Indian Air Force or Indian Navy. Combined Defense Services CDS exam 2024 that is conducted by the UPSC. It is a national level recruitment Test for passionate applicant who want to make a career in Indian Defense Services be it Indian Army, Indian Navy or Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Officers Training Academy and Indian Naval Academy. Only selected applicant will get a chance for further interviewed for the intelligence and personality test which is conducted the SSB.
The CDS is held twice a year and it consists of three papers General Knowledge, Mathematics and English. Those who clear the exam are nominated to give the service selection board SSB interview. All applicant are required to give the choice among the three forces. If one qualify the SSB then as per the choice of service you through training in Air force Academy, Indian Military Academy, and Indian Naval Academy. Female are only eligible to join OTA, For Male if you are selected for Army, you join the Infantry, for Navy you join the General Service and for Air-force you join the flying branch.

There is a scheme of negative marking in the exam. 1/3 of the marks assigned to the question are dedicated for the wrong answer. No negative mark is charged for the unanswered question.
